A largely self taught artist; Dorcas loves to play with colour and pattern to produce pieces that are joyous yet powerful. Each illustration starts as a black-and-white pen drawing before being scanned and digitally edited in Photoshop and Illustrator.

Dorcas draws inspiration from the Black women she encounters in her day to life and places them center stage in her artwork.
