Michelle P Brown is Professor of Medieval Manuscript Studies and course tutor to the History of the Book MA at the University of London, and was previously curator of illuminated manuscripts at the British Library. She has written many books and articles including, The Lion Companion to Christian Art (Lion Hudson, 2008), The Lindisfarne Gospels and the Early Medieval World (British Library, 2010) and The Lindisfarne Gospels: Society, Spirituality & the Scribe (British Library, 2003).
