Recycled Wool is made from 100% recycled fibres and turns preloved into reloved. At least 70% is woven from recycled wool, like preloved jumpers, and the remaining percentage comes from man-made recycled fibres that would otherwise end up in landfill, like preloved polyester shirts. Combining the wool threads with these recycled synthetic fibres adds length and strength to the yarn. While most wool shrinks or bobbles in the wash, the combination of synthetic fibres allows our twill weave to be dense enough for machine washing on 30 degrees or less and still maintain its shape!

The Tartan Blanket Co. was born out of a desire to create a company with real passion and real soul. Emma and Fergus wanted to create beautiful, natural products which would bring warmth to people's hearts and homes, as well as having a truly positive impact on the world around us.

Their partner mill in India is run by a family team, who uses 100% recycled materials and supports a community of women who hand finish all of our recycled wool blankets, creating much-needed jobs and giving each blanket a personal, unique finish.
