British Library x Teemill

We’ve partnered with Teemill for our collection of print-on-demand apparel featuring a choice of designs inspired by the British Library’s Collection.

About Teemill

Teemill is a sustainable company that uses organic, sustainably produced cotton. Their garments are made in a wind-and-solar powered SA8000 Certified factory in India, and they are dedicated to the fair treatment of workers.

They print using low-waste digital printing tech and vegan inks that conform to the GOTS/Soil Association organic criteria and are never tested on animals.

The garments are printed with your chosen design on demand in Teemill’s Isle of Wight factory, so there is no overstock and no waste.

If looked after well, your custom clothing should last for years, and at the end of its life you can use the QR code on the label to send it back to Teemill, where it’ll be turned back into usable material and made into new apparel.

Choosing the right size

  • Chest: measure all round your chest just below your armpits. 
  • Waist: measure round your waistline, where your trousers would button up. 
  • Height: use your natural height. 

If you fall between the sizes, go for the larger of the two.

How will you ship my order?

All orders are shipped using Royal Mail in sustainable, eco-friendly packaging, designed with the environment in mind and made with natural materials. They are rip-proof, splash-proof mailers made from paper.

Please note: if your order contains other items they will be shipped to you in separate parcels.

UK Delivery

International Delivery

No, unfortunately, we cannot deliver to P.O. Boxes.

I've purchased a print on demand item but I've changed my mind and want a refund.

Unfortunately, we cannot offer a refund on print on demand products unless they are faulty or we have made a mistake. Print on demand products are exempt as they are made to order.

Can I redeem my discount (e.g. Members, ATBL) against print on demand items? 

Yes, you can redeem your discount code against print on demand products.

How do I care for my clothing?

Follow the instructions on the label, failing which, wash cool and hang dry.

As print on demand items are produced by a third party and are made to order, they are not eligible for free delivery.
